Montana Fiber Roundup & Alpaca/Llama Showcase
JULY 12th-13th
Location: New Trade Center
Kalispell Fairgrounds
Kalispell, MT
Time: 9:00 to 5:00 both days
Llama/Alpaca judging in halter and walking fiber classes. Cheryl Tenold is our organizer and Ruth Elvestad will be our judge.
Fiber booths ($75.00), classes, and demos/seminars.
Free classes for all 4-H kids.
Free shearing demo of sheep and llamas.
Llama cart driving demo.
Handspun skeined yarn and garment/apparel judging.
Sheep, Mohair, Cashmere, Alpaca/Llama fiber judging & sales of raw fleece. Dr. Lyle McNeal and Ruth Elvestad will judge.
Navajo Rug Auction and story telling by the elders from Teec Nos Pos, Arizona
Reader Board for selling any fiber animals or fiber equipment with no charge to seller.
Sign at entrance showing vendor names and booth locations.
Food vendors selling sliced watermelon, cold apple slushes, and international lunches.
All vendors, teachers, and alpaca/llama breeders attending the festival are invited to the Going to the Sun Fiber Mill for a laid back evening for margaritas and authentic Mexican chips and salsa, plus a tour through our mill. This all takes place at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. outside on our lawn, Saturday.
"Christmas In July Boutique" offers unique selections of hand work for sale by talented craftsmen for the public's buying pleasure. The 4-H Clubs in the Flathead Valley will be sponsoring this wonderful booth.
